JOURNEY AROUND THE SUN
From the reggae influenced “Ain’t Singing No Blues” to the Spanish guitars of “Besame Baby” (Kiss Me)….from the rockin’ slide guitar-laced title track “Journey Around The Sun” to beautiful ballads like “Mexico Moonlight”, “Looking At You”, and “I Want To Love You Like That” you’ll love the diverse feel of this CD, Mark’s seventh and first to be recorded in Nashville. Not only the songwriting but also the stellar performances by some of Nashville’s finest studio musicians.
Kick back and enjoy life in “This Old Beach Town”,
a song which describes the disappearing laid back lifestyle in so many of the places where Mark performs these days. That song is the sequel to the title track of Mark’s previous CD, “Life In a Beach Town”

LIFE IN A BEACH TOWN
Close your eyes and take a musical trip to that beach town located somewhere in your dreams! This album will take you there, from the sound of the breaking waves that introduce the
lively opening song “Life In a Beach Town”, all the way through a collection of ten of Mark’s most popular songs. Several of these songs, including “The Harbor”, “Turn Around And Run”
(written by Kelly McGuire), and the title track, have been played extensively
worldwide on satellite radio, and “The Harbor” was also included on Latitudes and Attitudes Magazine’s third “Songs for Sailors” compilation CD. Need a remedy for a bad day at the office? Pop on “Even The Bad Days Are Good”.
Guaranteed to do the trick! Plus, you’ll love Mark’s version of Eric Stone’s “The
Whole Nine Yards”. So, need a break from rush hour crowds and the crazy corporate scene? Grab a cooler, slap on a little sunscreen, and enjoy “Life In A Beach Town”!

FIRST WORLD REFUGEE
It’s no wonder this CD is so hugely popular with Mark’s expatriated gringo crowd. Just check out some of these songs! The title track,
"First World Refugee", perfectly describes those cruisers who never quite did fit in on land. “Drinking Mexico Dry”
paints you a picture of life on stage in one of Mexico’s trashiest cantinas! “A Word in Spanish” is a soka-flavored
tune that will have you dancing with that senorita even if you don’t understand one syllable out of each other’s mouths.
Just the title of “Pacifico Blue” makes you reach for a cold one!
And “Some Things Never Change” is a rockin’ tune about how each of us is still young inside, no matter how old we are on the outside. Even one of the ballads on the album, “Goodbye” is actually a happy breakup song, a positive tune about a relationship that just wasn’t meant to be. But the album also has its share of more serious songs too. Behind it’s upbeat rhythm and steel drums,
"He Remembers” tells the tale of a two people who see their relationship slipping away, each from their own perspective. “This Ain’t Me” describes Mark’s short lived return to his old hometown of Phoenix, Arizona and his reaction to seeing the once pristine desert filled with an endless sea of rooftops and parking lots. “That’s What It Takes” is about the toll that travel often
took on Mark’s relationship with his family. And the album's
closer, “The Coast of Nowhere”, is a song
about the Sea of Cortez, untouched by time for centuries, and what massive commercial shrimping and overfishing
is doing to her.
“Life is good on this side of the sandbar”, according to the title track. That’s exactly how you’ll feel too when you pop Mark’s fifth CD, “First World Refugee”, into your car stereo. Who knows, you might pass that off ramp that leads to the suburbs, aim for the distance, and keep on going!

GOING COASTAL
This is the album that introduced Mark's music to a huge new group of sailing and cruising fans all over the world. “Somewhere South of Somewhere”, a breezy tune about the tropical paradise we all escape to in our minds, was selected in the popular “Thongs In The Key Of Life (Vol.2) album and was later recorded by Eric Stone on his “Longboards and Short Stories” CD, released in 2004. “Blue, Blue Water”, a ballad about what drew Mark to the coast, was included on Latitudes and Attitudes Magazine’s first ever “Songs for Sailors” compilation. And “Uncharted Courses”, a
wistful love song that looks back on love long gone, was included on the popular “Migration Music Presents…The Best of Sailing” CD.
This is Mark’s first CD where you’ll notice a reggae feel, on not only the title track, “Going Coastal”. but also the album’s closing song, “Ain’t Love A Beach”. “There’s Always Manana” tells the familiar tale of the dancing, tequila swilling tourist who keeps putting off that return trip home. “Then You Came Along” is a lovely ballad that has been selected as “the wedding song” at countless ceremonies. Speaking of wedding songs, Mark included a Spanish version of a song off his debut CD that he rewrote for his own wedding in Mexico, called “He Esperado Tu Amor”. (The English version is known as “Waiting For You”, off “The Things I Love” album released seven years prior).
If you’re looking for
Mark's trademark tropical touch and a few beautiful ballads, you
found it on “Going Coastal”. Available

MEXICO
Here is the album where Mark first truly defined that
sound that has become his trademark to this day. “ Mexico”
is a “Jimmy Buffett meets James Taylor” type CD, full of tropical
touches, rich harmonies, upbeat tunes and love songs too. The
album starts off in full throttle with the rockin’ title track,
and weaves its way through ten stories about life (check out the
“One Life To Live”), love (you can’t get any more
romantic than “I Love You”, and of course,
tequila (yes there is such thing as “Too Much Tequila”!)
“Sara,Tara and Jenny Marie” is one of Mark’s most
requested songs to date. “If She Only Knew”,
though seldom played in Mark’s live show, remains one of his
personal favorites. The CD also includes a song in Spanish,
“Pideme La Luna” (“Ask Me For The Moon) And
it closes with “Kino”, a song about the
place that Mark fell in love with at an early age and has been a
part of his life ever since.
Living in Mexico, Mark was finally living the
songs he wrote about. And it really shows in this, Mark’s third
album. Stressed out? Close your eyes, pop on this CD, and take a
trip to “ Mexico”!

SON OF THE SUNSHINE
Originally released in 1994 as a country album, Mark and producer Jeff Tatum took these songs back into the studio in the year 2000 and “tropicized” them. And he added a brand new song while he was at it! The result is a solid ten song “tropicountry” CD that features several songs still heard in Mark’s live show today, like the popular singalong “I’ll Take the Sunshine”, “Living on Mexico Time”, and the beautiful “Til I See You Again” The title track, “Son of the Sunshine”,
foretells an upcoming change in Mark’s life and a longing to head
south to warm waters and blue skies. The Good Old Days To Come” is an upbeat, fun song about not wasting your time looking back. That’s Mark playing the piano on “She is Everything”,
a ballad about a woman that’s special to a man even if the rest of
the world doesn’t notice her. “The Pages of my Life” is a tune that looks forward with hope to whatever the upcoming chapters of life may bring. If you like steel guitars mixed in with your marimbas, “Son of the Sunshine” makes the perfect addition to your music collection! more info. + soundclips
THE THINGS I LOVE
Mark’s debut CD, “The Things I Love”, was released in 1992, originally on cassette only. Later released on CD, only a handful of copies remain. A home project, “The Things I Love” featured Mark not only on rhythm guitar, but also on acoustic lead guitar, keyboards, and all harmony vocals too. It included several songs that Mark hopes to remake someday with a full band, like the all acoustic “The Backroads” (kind of a predecessor to “Uncharted Courses”, recorded seven years later), “Me and This Old Guitar” (a song that is more and more fitting with each passing year), and “A Song For You”. “A-1 Mountain Road” occasionally sneaks itself into a live set now an then, as does the original English version of “Waiting For You”, later rewritten in Spanish and recorded on the “Going Coastal” CD. This one is for collector’s only, if any are still left by the time you read this! more info.
